Hendersonville: Discover the Charm of This Small Town

The Village and The Hamlet are perfectly located in the small town of Flat Rock. Both communities are tucked in the mountains of western North Carolina. Residents experience a calm, easy mountain life, nearby some of the best attractions that this region has to offer. 30 minutes down the road is Asheville, a popular city for tourists, full of creativity, cuisine and new experiences. Also, closer to Flat Rock is a smaller town called Hendersonville. Hendersonville neighbors by just five short miles, putting restaurants, shopping, outdoor adventures and more right in our back yard. Outdoor Activities Near Hendersonville

You will never be at a lack for outdoor adventures in Hendersonville. In fact, the town is surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. It is close to Pisgah National Forest, meaning there are plenty of opportunities for fishing, hiking, camping and more. DuPont State Forest is another popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. This State park offers miles of hiking and biking trails, with multiple beautiful waterfalls to find. If you are a fan of water activities, the nearby French Broad River offers kayaking, tubing, and fishing. In the fall, the changing leaves of the trees attract many visitors to the area for leaf-peeping, and during the winter months, there are opportunities for skiing and snowboarding at nearby resorts. With so many different activities to choose from, Hendersonville and its surrounding areas are paradise for someone who loves to be active outdoors!

You’ll find traditional southern food and international cuisine- and you won’t be disappointed. Hendersonville is known for its farm-to-table restaurants, which source local ingredients to deliver you a farm fresh meal to your table. The town and its surrounding areas are also known for their beer and wine scene, with lots of breweries and a few gorgeous wineries that offer tasting experiences.

Throughout the year, residents of Hendersonville and surrounding areas are treated with many events and festivals. Perhaps the most popular is the annual North Carolina Apple Festival, which celebrates the apple harvest each year. Find live music, carnival rides and vendors for a fun filled day.
