Simple Life Tiny Home Communities Announces Grand Opening of the Hamlet in Western North Carolina

Simple Life established The Village, a pocket neighborhood with 180 tiny homes that is nearly sold out today. In fact, Apartment Therapy, a leading blog in home décor and lifestyle choices, recently recognized Simple Life as the #1 place to live in a tiny home in the United States. Today, Simple Life is excited to announce the Grand Opening of its second community in Flat Rock, The Hamlet, a continuation of the vision in The Village but with its own unique twist.

As tiny home living continues to grow in popularity across the United States, Americans from across the country visit, tour and often move to Flat Rock to experience the simplicity, yet luxury, of cottage living. “We recognized early on in the process that Flat Rock was a perfect market for us,” shared Mike McCann, President and CEO of Simple Life, “There is such a great demand for the lifestyle that Simple Life provides. We knew we wanted to expand our reach and develop another community in the same area.” Surrounded by stunning mountain views, quietly tucked away off a winding road yet still nearby the energetic community of Hendersonville, The Hamlet provides 135 tiny homes in a well-manicured and amenity-filled development off South Orchard Road less than a mile off Interstate 26. The proposed amenities for The Hamlet will have tiny homeowners looking no further than their own backyard for social activities and entertainment. They include a yoga pavilion, grand lawn for concerts and outdoor movies, multi-use trail system, clubhouse, pool, and separate spaces for an Internet café, library and game room.

“Our interest list of people who want to move into a Simple Life tiny home community continues to grow which tells us we’re providing a lifestyle for a market that can’t find anything else like what we’re doing,” said Jacque Coots, Simple Life Sales Manager, “It typically only takes one tour of our community for homebuyers to understand that giving up square footage does not mean giving up a comfortable lifestyle.”

The Hamlet will announce its model row opening and a VIP presale event scheduled in August 2019. The Hamlet offers a unique and rustic aesthetic, different from its sister community, The Village, across the road. It’s a perfect pairing of wetlands, showcasing a natural and native tree canopy, Dunn Creek and marshlands. Inside the neighborhood, the roads will be designed to create a true sense of community with winding streets, unique homesite layouts and customizable tiny homes that are as stunning from the exterior as they are inside. “The Hamlet has given us an opportunity to introduce several new and innovative high-end tiny home designs,” said McCann, “We are working closely with some of the best tiny home builders to provide our residents with exciting options for outdoor upgrades and designs creating an outdoor living space that becomes a highlight of the home.”

Tiny homes in Simple Life communities start in the low $100s and include one and two-bedroom options with stunning amenities and a lifestyle. This is exactly what I am looking for! Well, almost. I’m a city person & I love the ocean. Currently living in New England, 10 miles north of Boston. The city I live in has a beautiful coastline & buildable lots available. Oh, how I would love a Simple Life tiny house community here!I know that you are also building in central Florida. Any plans for additional FL communities? I’m also looking for my “snowbird” home, focusing on the Tampa Bay area. I’m 58 years old, so I could buy into a 55+ mobile home park. However I need to be around younger people who value tiny house living.
