Mike McCann - President & CEO

Mike McCann is the vision and energy behind Simple Life. Recognizing the significant gap in affordable home options for discerning buyers Mike organized a comprehensive market study that identified key demographics and potential markets. He then assembled a strong and dedicated team who shared his vision and mission and provided them with the resources to perfect his plan and grow the vision across the U.S.

Under his leadership, Simple Life has emerged as a leader in the downsized housing movement. Mike has guided the company to retain quality suppliers who provide a superior product in a quick turn time and has led the development and promotion of Simple Life’s flagship community to near sell-out with 145 homes. Simple Life's second community is welcoming new residents and properties for the third, fourth, and fifth community are either owned or under contract and going through the entitlement or development process. Mike’s proven track record for putting together a full-service offering, assembling a team to build and promote that offering, and securing investors and other resources to support the offering has been the impetus for the success and fast-paced growth and excitement that Simple Life has realized today.

Through his own investment company, McCann Management, Mike began investing in land in 2000. Employing the very best urban land planners and engineers, Mike has re-entitled and either sold for development or developed over 3,000 acres, some as small as 1/4 acre and others as large as 300 acres. Understanding, embracing, and navigating the public process of entitlement with local counties, cities, historic preservation, and environmental groups has become a real strength and area of expertise for Mike.

Wolfe Jackson - CFO

Wolfe Jackson oversees the finance team for Simple Life and manages the daily operations of the finance department. His expertise has helped Simple Life successfully manage cash flow, organize and integrate a continually shifting supply chain, cultivate valuable investor relations, and procure stable debt.

Wolfe graduated with an MBA from Michigan State University and spent the first years of his career with a “Big Four” public accounting firm. Upon leaving public accounting Wolfe spent 15 years in residential construction, starting as the CFO for a then privately-owned homebuilder. When the company was sold to a publicly traded home building company Wolfe became the Division Controller for the Jacksonville division and was subsequently promoted to the Division Chief Operating Officer and Division President. In these roles, Wolfe was responsible for sales, construction, land acquisition, purchasing, and warranty, managing the construction of over 3,500 homes including nearly 500 in one peak year. His total in career real estate transactions was more than $875,000,000 prior to joining Simple Life.

Wolfe’s extensive background in home building helped develop the Simple Life sales and set up model, which has many similarities to traditional real estate. He is excited to see Simple Life’s first project sell out as projected and its second project welcoming new residents.

Andrew Ward - Managing Director

Andrew was born and raised in the UK and has enjoyed an international career in Hotels and Resorts.

During his career has managed the construction of more than 400 homes, the design and construction of several luxury amenities including clubhouses and sports campuses, and the installations of many miles of infrastructure.

Andrew attended Cornell Universities Hotel School and is a graduate of their Marketing, Finance, Food & Beverage and General Manager programs. He has also been awarded many accolades for both himself and the projects he has spearheaded, including Businessperson of the Year for Putnam County, GA (Lake Oconee) and the GA Governors Award for Tourism Marketing among others.

Andrew brings decades of experience with Home Owners Associations to Simple Life and enjoys being the conduit between the project, its homeowners, and the executive team.

Andrew exudes tenacious enthusiasm and has a passion for real estate development, coaching the very best out of the teams he nurtures, and driving success in business.

Coles Carangian - Marketing Director

Coles Whalen Carangian has guided Simple Life’s brand development from conception through to the near sell-out of its first community. Her creativity and fresh perspective have helped keep Simple Life at the leading edge of the national conversation surrounding downsizing and simple living.

Coles was instrumental in developing Simple Life’s process for capturing market data and creating a buyer profile. She is also responsible for overseeing market studies on potential new projects including the collection and analysis of location information, buyer habits, consumer trends, competitors, and the effectiveness of potential marketing and sales programs.

Prior to joining Simple Life, Coles served as the marketing director for EcoVentures helping the company become a nationally recognized supplier. She was also the Executive Event Coordinator of the Tiny House Jamboree, an industry expo, which drew over 40,000 attendees. Coles holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California.

Dave Allen - Director of Set-Up

Dave Allen brings over 20 years of experience in executive construction management to the day-to-day operations of Simple Life communities. His ability to attract and retain a talented production team and effectively lead them through multiple construction projects at once, helped Simple Life develop its flagship community on schedule and within budget.

Dave oversees Simple Life’s supply chain management including the ordering, shipment, placement, set, and final set up of each home.

Dave’s process-oriented leadership and impeccable eye for detail have taken Simple Life’s first community from blueprint to brick and mortar in a cost-effective and well-run manner. He looks forward to playing an integral role in the second, third, and fourth communities to come. Dave holds a BS in Business Management.

Joe Simonetta - Development Lead

Joe Simonetta is a highly versatile professional with a diverse background in leadership positions and a demonstrated capacity to guide large-scale projects to success.

As owner/architect/builder, from concept through completion, he created and managed a 663-acre multi-year residential project in Ecuador’s Andes Mountains. The development is recognized as one of Ecuador’s finest.

In addition to significant management experience in the profit and nonprofit sectors, Joe is a former U.S. Army officer.

Joe enjoys being instrumental in the location, selection, and development of suitable properties that are transformed by Simple Life into beautiful living environments with multiple health-enhancing amenities to be enjoyed by future residents.

He holds a BS in business from Penn State University, an MA in architecture from the University of Colorado, and an MA from Harvard Divinity School.

Marc Tilton - General Manager, Florida

After discovering his passion for guest service, as well as food and beverage, Marc attended Cornell University to pursue a degree in Hotel Administration. Graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree, he moved away from the cold, snowy North to Orlando, Florida to begin his tenure with the Walt Disney World Resort as a Restaurant Manager, where he focused his efforts on becoming an accomplished sommelier. Marc has also been the General Manager at two high-end, multi-unit steakhouses in Orlando (Ruth’s Chris and Shula’s), where he oversaw award-winning wine lists and beverage menus. His most recent endeavor was working as a Convention Services Manager for Marriott at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, where he planned and executed events for convention groups of up to 2,000 people.

Marc’s love of learning, coupled with his inherent drive to serve people, has led him to Simple Life to ensure new communities are a welcoming and enjoyable destination to live. His dedication, organizational skills, and past experience have prepared him well to unite his team behind his #1 goal of homeowner satisfaction. His food, beverage, and event management background will also translate well to a fun and creative calendar of events for residents to enjoy throughout the year. Marc’s hands-on management style will keep him engaged with the community, interacting with both residents and team members.

Yvonne Suter - Controller

Yvonne Suter brings over 20 years of experience in the application of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), project management, and executive organization to Simple Life’s finance department. She has helped develop Simple Life’s accounting operations from the beginning, setting necessary directives for smooth and efficient administrative and financial management functioning.

Her recent past experience includes financial management for NextEra Energy where she managed the accounting functions for two holding companies with combined assets of $775 million, revenue of $ 111 million, and cash of $ 42 million. Yvonne is fluent in English, German, French, and Swiss.
